Purpose of the role
The main function of the Metallurgist Technician role is to mainly cover the training and support of the Jameson, Isamill and Albion Process technologies carried out in mines and laboratories, including during the commissioning stage of the technologies and supporting the metallurgy teams and customers in the planning and interpretation of the test works.



This position will report directly to Glencore Technology's LATAM Metallurgy Management.

Education,
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering or related field (required)
- Minimum 2 or 3 years of experience on a mine site or at a laboratory operating flotation circuits
- Experience with Jameson cell technology would be preferred
- Additional experience in grinding, stirred milling, and hydrometallurgy is advantageous

Key Accountabilities:
Test Work, Commissioning & Site Support
- Develop, manage, analyze, train and report on test work programs involving pilot rigs, laboratory and site-based work
- Participate in commissioning programs, site audits, and technical evaluations.

Technical Support & Process Expertise
- Provide technical guidance to clients and stakeholders.
- Analyze and interpret metallurgical data.
- Respond to client inquiries related to metallurgical processes
