Project Overview:

Mining & Metals:
Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. At Bechtel, our teams extract these vital resources to support net zero in a way which is more sustainable than ever before.

Job Summary:

This is a senior role with the expectation of directly performing all tasks without extensive training. In this role, you will be responsible for performing schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring for all phases of a project from design through construciton. You will be responsible for presentation of scheduling deliverables as directed for proposals, studies or projects. Ensure total project scope is included in the plan with appropriate schedule sequences and logic complying with critical path methodology (CPM). Develop milestones to support the project schedule and implement resource loading and leveling as required. Establish work activity durations for a specific discipline or specialty. While this position is initially based in Santiago,



flexibility is expected as future business and project needs may require relocation to and work at the jobsite at some point.

Major Responsibilities:

- Ensuring integration of the total project work scope for all entities, departments, and/or disciplines into the total project or study plan.
- Developing, evaluating and reviewing schedule durations for all discipline’s activities. Ensure all disciplines/departments are aware and concur with the schedule and understand their responsibility.
- Working with all disciplines and stakeholders to coordinate work sequences and identify logical relationships & interdisciplinary constraints and/or interfaces for incorporation into the plan.
- Plan, organize, and execute resource loading and leveling. Develop all bulk commodity release and installation curves as well as progress and workforce curves.
- Provide planning and schedule knowledge on a continuous basis to assist in discipline planning and interfacing with others.
- Develop and implement requirements/process for updating and monitoring the schedule.
- Perform benchmark analysis of plans to demonstrate plan viability.
- Perform risk analysis to determine appropriate level of contingency
- Perform schedule updates and analysis of problem areas to determine areas that are at risk or require attention. Recommend alternatives for schedule improvement to project team.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning & scheduling functions for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). This includes schedule development, control, and analysis in both the field and the home office.
- Experience leading a planning team providing day-to-day supervision as well as training and development opportunities.
- Advanced level of knowledge of engineering,



procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes in the mining industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop complete EPC schedules from scratch.
- Skilled in understanding technical processes, engineering drawings, and quantity determinations.
- Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications currently used in Bechtel (for example: Primavera, Primavera Risk Analysis, and Microsoft Office Applications).
- Skilled in oral and written communication
- Bi-lingual English & Spanish capability is preferred to present schedules in English to management.
