- Description

We are a livestock company, which preserves the traditional works of the regional field, with work that has been carried out for decades in the area. It was born as a family business, with the purpose of developing farming tourism and offering our visitors, the opportunity to observe and live experiences related to the work, customs and culture of a typical cattle ranch in Patagonia. We are interested in rescuing the traditions of the Chilean countryside, both the Magellanes and the shearing, the work with sheep dogs, as well as typical activities in other areas of the country such as the Chilean Rodeo. All this in a family atmosphere with cozy accommodation facilities, horseback riding, antique museum and tasty meals.

Somos una empresa ganadera, que conserva los trabajos tradicionales del campo regional, con labores que se han desempeñado durante décadas en la zona. Nace como un emprendimiento familiar, con el propósito de desarrollar turismo de estancia y ofrecer a nuestros visitantes, tanto familias, como grupos de turistas, la ocasión de observar y vivir experiencias relacionadas con el trabajo, costumbres y cultura de una estancia ganadera típica de la Patagonia.

Nos interesa rescatar las tradiciones del campo chileno, tanto las Magallánicas como lo son las faenas de esquila, los arreos y el trabajo de los perros ovejeros, así como también actividades típicas de otras zonas del país como el Rodeo Chileno. Todo esto en un ambiente familiar con acogedoras instalaciones de alojamiento, cabalgatas, museo de antigüedades y sabrosas comidas.

We are looking for someone who speaks English to receive passengers in the afternoon. In the morning you can help with estancia , or with the traditional barbecue, there are many possible activities. Buscamos alguien que hable ingles para recibir los pasajeros por las tardes. Por la mañana se puede ayudar en los trabajos en general de la estancia o en el quincho, hay muchas actividades posibles.

We are at the edge of the Torres del Paine National Park, the eighth wonder of the world, where you can do many trekkings. We don't have electricity access during the night. Buying a chilean chip will provide you cheap internet access. Estamos a la orilla del parque nacional Torres del paine, la octava maravilla del mundo, donde se puede hacer muchos trekkings. No tenemos electricidad por la noche. Con un numero chileno tendran un accesso barato a internet.

Me quedé un poco más de un mes en la estancia! Fuí una experiencia maravillosa. Christian, Solange and sus hijos son muy sencillos. Descubrí la cultura de los gauchos chilenos (correr el guanaco con la auto en el campo!).

Ayudé a traducir en ingles o frances para las turistas que no hablaron español, ayudé Christian a arreglar cosas en la estancia … read more (poner potres, pintar, etc..) hizó jardín (sacar pasto del camino, desbrozar), cuidar a los caballos (limpiar los box, dar comida, poner las monturas,...)Tuvo la suerte de accompañar 2 cabalgatas al cerro (espectacular vista).

Apprendí un monton, Christian esta muy ingeniosio! Trabajémos cual sea el tiempo (viento, nieve, frío) pero siempre tenímos un rico almuerzo y once para recargar energía !

La pasé muy lindo y fuí un placer de compartir buenas charlas con Elena, Rolo y Dante quienes vinieron algunas veces a trabajar a la estancia!

Muchas gracias Christian y Solange, tengo que regresar en el invierno para vivir una experiencia intensa !

Pasamos dos semanas y media con Christian y Solange y resultó ser un tiempo muy corto. De hecho, el tiempo pasa muy rápido en un entorno tan idílico.



El entorno es perfecto, montañas, río, pampa, una mezcla de todo para un completo bienestar.

La tranquilidad y la lejanía de la estancia de la ciudad es un plus que permite descansar. El trabajo … read more requerido es sencillo, variado y nunca aburrido. Christian y Solange son muy flexibles.

Los días no son muy parecidos, podemos pasar un día trabajando o una tarde descansando. Principalmente ayudamos a cuidar de los animales (ovejas, caballos), hicimos algo de jardinería y bricolaje, un verdadero placer con este entorno. Nos alimentamos con los deliciosos platos elaborados por Elena, una maravillosa chef.

Pan casero, mermelada casera, huevos frescos de la huerta, todos los detalles que nos gustos. Christian y Solange nos invitaron a su momento familiar e incluso nos hicieron descubrir un festival de rodeo a caballo. Qué descubrimiento con ellos.

Siempre les agradeceremos que nos hayan acogido así, por su generosidad y amabilidad. Muchas gracias por ayudarnos a mejorar nuestro español porque ahora cachamos mucho meyor. Nos reímos mucho y lo pasamos bien como en casa.

Volveremos con mucho gusto. Él es un mejor workaway.

Yo pasé 3 semanas en la estancia con el gaucho Christián y su familia amable :) me enseñaron a hacer las tareas que mantienen la vida independiente fuera de la civilización y me gustó mucho involucrarme con los caballos, los perros y las gallinas. El plan había sido quedarme un mes pero después de 3 semanas volví a Natales porque la vida en la estancia es muy tranquila y estaba solo mucho tiempo.

A pesar de dejar temprano, ¡todavía quiero agradecer a Christian, Solange, Matías y Elena por alojarme y alimentarme tan bien!

Christian and Solange are the most wonderful hosts. I had an amazing 5 week stay at their beautiful Estancia which is in an amazing location on the road to Torres Del Paine national park. They treat you like family with amazing Patagonian lunches every day with lamb and fresh baked bread every morning.

Having a coffee or sharing mate in the … read more kitchen with Fabrizio and Elena (the cooks) soon became a fun daily routine.The main task of checking in guests is very easy but basic spanish is really necessary here as nobody on the estancia speaks english and communication can be tricky if you don’t. I used google translate and got along just fine but wish I could communicate better. The place is very remote and quiet, if you need to be close to a town or things to do this is not really the place for you.

However somebody does go to Natales (1hr away) couple days a week if you feel the need to go, plus there are regular local buses and hitchhiking is very easy- I did it a lot and I’m a SWF! They are very flexible on days off, I worked the first couple weeks every day then took a 4 day trip to Punta Arenas. Get a local SIM card as there is no internet.

I loved it here and would not hesitate to return.

I had a wonderful experience in my month stay in the estancia. Christian, Solange and the rest of the workers on the farm were a pleasure to be around and always made me feel very welcome. It is a truly unique experience to see how Patagonia farms work with the opportunity to learn many things outside the typical tourist.

My experience in the estancia was great! Christian and Solange are very nice people, and did everything to make me confortable. The rest of the staff was really welcoming and we had good times. The main task I had was to welcome tourists as the owners don't speak english, and do some maintenance.

The work was easy and I had a lot of free time so I … read more could help with horses, which I love, spend time with the employees, learn how to make bread.. All meals are included and were made by a cook who was also making fresh bread everyday (so I gained weight a little...).

A great experience, and lots of great times in the estancia :)
