Condor Minerales SpA, a Chilean company engaged in the trading of metals, is seeking a General Manager in Mining & Commodity Trading to join its team in Santiago, Chile.

About the Opportunity

We are establishing a new commodity trading company focused on the purchase, warehousing, export, and international commercialization of gold and copper concentrates.

The company is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the development and execution of its commercial and operational strategy in Chile. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing supplier relationships, developing international commercial opportunities, and managing the company’s operations while ensuring disciplined execution and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the company’s commercial and operational activities in Chile.
- Source gold and copper concentrates and develop long-term relationships with processing plants, mining companies, suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Identify and negotiate concentrate purchasing opportunities.
- Develop relationships with international buyers and commercial partners.
- Negotiate commercial terms and execute physical commodity trading contracts.
- Oversee logistics, warehousing, exports, and supply chain operations.
- Coordinate with laboratories, customs brokers, freight forwarders, financial institutions, and other service providers.
- Prepare export documentation and ensure compliance with Chilean regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, environmental, AML, and KYC requirements.
- Manage Letters of Credit (LC), payment terms, and trade finance arrangements.
- Monitor LME and COMEX market prices and industry developments.
- Monitor shipment schedules, assay results,



and final settlement calculations.
- Work closely with finance, operations, logistics, and risk management teams.
- Build and manage the local team as the business expands.
- Prepare operational and commercial reports for shareholders and investors.
- Execute the company’s growth strategy while maintaining disciplined risk management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining, concentrate trading, mineral processing, or commodity trading.
- Established network within the Chilean mining industry.
- Strong commercial negotiation and leadership skills.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Thorough understanding of concentrate trading, export procedures, logistics, and commercial contracts.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
