Role Description This full-time remote Financial Analyst role supports Andes Films’ theatrical distribution business through detailed financial planning and analysis.
The Financial
Analyst prepares and reviews financial statements, monitors revenue and expenses for film releases, and develops forecasts and budgets for multiple territories. Daily activities include analyzing box office performance, preparing financial reports for leadership and studio partners, and identifying trends and risks that impact profitability. The role also involves maintaining accurate financial data, supporting month-end and quarter-end closing, and collaborating with operations, sales, and marketing teams to inform strategic decisions. The idóneo candidate is detail-oriented,
comfortable working across time zones, and able to communicate insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Analytical Skills to evaluate film performance, assess business scenarios, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess skills in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting to develop budgets, forecasts, and periodic management reports.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Financial Statements and related accounting concepts to interpret results and ensure accurate financial records.
- Relevant experience in entertainment, media, or distribution industries is beneficial, especially with revenue-sharing and royalty models.
- Proficiency with Excel and financial modeling tools; experience with BI or data visualization software is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional, international teams.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
