Mission of the role

ABB is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join Automation - Process Industries, focused on the development, implementation, and support of Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions for the mining, metals, and cement industries.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership for APC projects, from process analysis and control strategy definition to configuration, testing, commissioning, optimization, and performance follow-up, ensuring operational stability, performance improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Technically lead APC projects, defining scope, schedule, methodology, and execution strategy.




- Analyze industrial processes and identify opportunities for optimization, stability, and performance improvement.
- Develop, configure, test, and commission advanced control strategies, including APC, MPC, control logic, and fuzzy rules.- Prepare and review technical documents, functional specifications, test procedures, commissioning plans, and performance reports.
- Integrate APC solutions with control systems, historians, OPC, databases, and other industrial systems.
- Support installation, startup, tuning, stabilization, and performance validation together with customers.
- Support technical proposals, effort estimates, scope definition, assumptions, risks, and implementation strategy.
- Interface directly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams throughout project execution.
- Contribute to standardization, continuous improvement, and internal APC knowledge development.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineer
