Job Summary
The Senior Accounting Analyst will design and parameterize the company's local regulatory reports within the implementation of the new core system, and sustain them over time once the system is in operation: will be responsible for the controls that support them, participate in the accounting close of each month, and be the direct contact with external and internal auditors for everything related to regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
Configure in the system the regulatory reports required by the local regulator (FECU and associated), acting as an advanced functional user during implementation.
Design and execute the report generation tests, validating that they conform to both the company's historical processes and the current regulatory text.
Monitor the evolution of relevant local regulations and align with Actuary and Finance the consistency between technical reserves, solvency and regulatory reports.
Design and maintain controls that ensure the quality and traceability of regulatory reports.
Actively participate in the closing process of each month, verifying the consistency of the information before its use in reporting.
Be the direct external and internal audit contact for all matters related to regulatory reporting — delivery of evidence and defense of the criteria applied.
Participate in other projects and initiatives in the Finance area as required.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Auditing or Commercial Engineering.
5+ years of work experience in regulatory reporting for general insurance companies.
Solid knowledge of the current regulations of the Financial Market Commission (CMF), particularly FECU.
Fluent in English (writing, speaking).
Desirable experience in external audit processes and in parallel accounting closings or system transitions.
Ability to work with automation tools without delegating regulatory interpretation.
