Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Helicopter Construction Expert to lead and manage helicopter-assisted transmission line construction activities for EHV/HV transmission projects. The role involves planning, execution, safety management, and coordination of helicopter stringing operations, ensuring timely completion while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Helicopter Construction & Stringing
- Plan and execute helicopter-assisted stringing operations for transmission lines (220kV, 400kV, 765kV or above).
- Develop construction methodologies for aerial installation of pilot ropes, conductors, OPGW, and associated accessories.
- Coordinate with helicopter operators, aviation authorities, and project teams for efficient execution.
- Ensure proper installation of conductor bundles, spacers, dampers, and hardware using helicopter techniques
- Supervise aerial lifting and transportation of tower materials where applicable.

Planning & Project Management




- Prepare detailed helicopter construction schedules aligned with project timelines.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans for helicopter operations.
- Coordinate with engineering, survey, logistics, and site execution teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure achievement of milestones within budget.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to aviation safety regulations, DGCA guidelines, and project HSE standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and pre-flight safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and client safety requirements.
- Monitor weather conditions and operational constraints affecting helicopter activities.

Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with helicopter service providers, utility clients, consultants, forest authorities, and local administration.
- Coordinate with transmission line construction teams for uninterrupted execution.
