Your Mission
As a
Cost Controller
, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring effective management of budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and variances.
You will work closely with project management, planning, contracts, procurement, and finance teams to ensure effective financial control throughout the different stages of the project.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain
cost control systems
to monitor the project's financial performance.
Monitor and track
budgets, actual costs, commitments, purchase orders, contracts, and forecasts
.
Prepare and update
cost forecasts, cost projections, and Estimate at Completion (EAC)
.
Analyze variances between budget, actual costs, and forecasts, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
Prepare regular
cost reports, variance analyses, commitment reports, and financial performance reports
to support decision-making.
Coordinate with
Project Control, Planning, Contracts, Procurement, and Finance
teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of project cost information.
Support the monitoring and control of
changes, claims, change orders, and contractual variations
that may impact project costs.
Maintain accurate and traceable cost databases and project financial records.
Identify cost-related risks and opportunities and support the implementation of mitigation measures.
Participate in cost review meetings with internal teams, clients, contractors,
and other stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
.
Minimum
5 years of experience in Cost Control, Project Control, Project Controls, or similar roles
within construction or infrastructure projects.
Experience in
cost control for large-scale projects
, preferably in Data Centers, mission‐critical facilities, energy, industrial, or major construction projects.
Experience working with
EPC, EPCM, or CM contracts
.
Strong knowledge of
project budgets, actual costs, commitments, forecasting, cost variances, EAC, and project financial control
.
Experience with project and cost control tools and systems; knowledge of
Primavera P6, advanced Excel, and cost control systems
is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret project and financial data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Experience working in
multidisciplinary project environments
.
Professional proficiency in
both English and Spanish (mandatory)
.
Ability to work
on‐site
in a dynamic and highly complex project environment.
