Project Overview:

Ujina Growth Project:

The mining area is located 185 km southeast of Iquique, at 4,400 meters above sea level, in Tarapacá Region. The main objective of Doña Inés de Collahuasi’s project is to increase the concentrator’s throughput capacity from an average of 170 ktpd to 210 ktpd. Currently, the awarded service corresponds to the execution of Package PG1 - the first of three packages contemplated for this project - which involves the detailed engineering and procurement (EP) of six flotation cells, and on-site support during the construction phase. Service for package PG1, which began on August 1, 2023, is a continuation of the study phase (FEL3) and is expected to be completed in February 2025.

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to perform logistics tasks and activities of moderate complexity to ensure safe, timely and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements. This position will report to the Project Logistics Supervisor, as well as functionally reporting to Bechtel Global Logistics (BGL).

Major Responsibilities:





- Coordinating shipments with the required internal and external entities to ensure the safe and timely delivery of materials and equipment from the supplier's delivery point to the destination point.
- Ensuring timely entry of shipment milestone data into Bechtel's Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) and Transport Management system to provide visibility of shipment status of consignments.
- Assisting the project logistics supervisor when requested.
- Providing information to the Contract Administrator to submit and resolve claims from Logistics Service Providers (LSPs).
- Collecting and delivering information to prepare logistics studies, including visits to suppliers' facilities. Integrate security requirements and measures into all logistics activities.
- Planning, developing, coordinating and reviewing Procurement work within a discipline on projects in support of logistics strategy.
- Instructing policies and procedures of Bechtel and the supply chain.
- Issuing of reports.
- Conducting due diligence studies as requested.
- Coordinating and interacting with the daily work of the project team and the discipline groups, when required to complete the integral logistics tasks that also consider: training/contract administration; integration with Engineering and Construction; collaboration with Accounting/Finance and Cost areas with the administration of billing and budget process.

Education and Experience Requirements:

- Related education (Transport, Logistics or International Trade) and 8 years of relevant experience in mining projects, cargo logistics project
- A bachelor's or Master's degree (or international equivalent) is normally required and a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a university degree.

- Bechtel Logistics Procedures (Supply Chain Courses).
- BGL corporate agreements.
- Transportation Management System.
- Bechtel procedures and instructions for compliance with government regulations affecting the movement of goods and technology.
- Bechtel standard office technology software (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, presentations) and Internet/Intranet browsing.
- Procedures and processes of import and export.
- National and international commercial and delivery terms, Incoterms.
