Description Job Summary – Cost Control Analyst (Tranque Quillayes Project)

The role is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and analysing cost control mechanisms for the Tranque Quillayes project, ensuring financial information is accurate, consolidated, and validated by corporate finance before any submission to the client. It covers budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, deviation analysis, and reporting, while safeguarding compliance with corporate standards, Chilean regulations, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Cost Control & Monitoring: Record and validate project costs daily, including subcontractors and third-party services. Ensure proper allocation by cost centre, activity, and supplier, aligned with accounting and tax requirements.

- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare monthly and annual budgets, analyse deviations, and develop corrective actions. Contribute to financial forecasts and cash flow projections to support decision-making and liquidity planning.

- Reporting & Documentation: Consolidate and prepare financial reports, payment statements (EDP), and client-facing reports, validated by corporate finance. Support audits with accurate and traceable documentation.

- Compliance & Audits: Ensure contractual, financial, and regulatory compliance, including health, safety, and environmental cost controls under Chilean mining regulations (DS 132, DS 594, Law 16.744). Participate in internal, external, and client audits.

- Process Optimisation:



Identify cost-saving opportunities, streamline reconciliation and validation processes, and share good practices from mining operations.

Key Relationships

- Internal: Contract Administrator, Operations Superintendent, Finance LATAM, Corporate Finance, Compliance/Internal Control, operations teams.

- External: Contractors, service providers, auditors, and client representatives.

Requirements Requirements

- Education: Professional degree in Business Engineering, Industrial Civil Engineering, Accounting, or equivalent accredited in Chile (mandatory).

- Experience: Minimum 3 years in cost control, contract administration, or financial analysis within mining or related industries (mandatory).

- Skills: Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, validations), financial reporting, ERP/SAP knowledge, contract management, and sector-specific tax knowledge (desirable). Intermediate technical English is advantageous.

Other Conditions

On-site 4x3 roster at Tranque Quillayes (Salamanca). Requires SHEQ induction, medical and legal clearances, and strict adherence to confidentiality and corporate reporting standards.
