We have an Australian client that is expanding its Chilean business unit and is seeking a front-line technical sales professional to drive sales of its magnetic resonance ore analysis technology to the copper mining industry. The priority is working with potential customers to identify opportunities where the technology can drive real value for their operations, across Chile and the wider Latin American market.
This is a hands-on sales role. The successful candidate will spend much of their time with customers and engineering companies, in meetings, at industry events and, when required, at operating mine sites.
Key responsibilities
- Work with and support the LATAM Director to guide clients through the sales process, from initial engagement to close
- Prospect, develop and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities for magnetic resonance technology across copper operations in Chile and Latin America. Identify prospective customers, working with them to advise them in a personalised way about possible applications.
- Build and maintain relationships with technical and operational decision-makers at mining operations, including metallurgists, geologists, process superintendents, mine planners and management
- Conduct site visits to prospective and existing customers, including presenting the technology, scoping applications and supporting test work and trials
- Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations and proposals tailored to each operation's ore body, processing configuration and value drivers
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows and technical events across the region
- Coordinate with companies technical and engineering teams to ensure proposals and applications are technically sound
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, opportunities and customer interactions
- Provide market intelligence on customer needs, competitor activity and industry trends in the region
