PURPOSE
The Financial Controls and Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting Anglo American Group (including Corporate) in meeting global and local compliance requirements related to Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR). The role serves as a key advisor on financial controls, ensuring effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of compliance processes, while partnering with stakeholders across the business to strengthen governance, mitigate risk, and maintain robust financial reporting standards.
TYPICAL TASKS
Support the implementation and maintenance of financial reporting control standards across business units and functions.
Deliver training and guidance to stakeholders on financial controls and compliance requirements.
Assess the impact of business process changes on financial compliance and internal controls.
