Job Summary

The Forest Engineer designs, plans, and directs programs related to the management, conservation, and harvesting of forest resources . Key Responsibilities

- Planning and Management: Conduct forest surveys and prepare reports. Establish short- and long-term plans for forest lands, covering harvesting, reforestation (silviculture), and fire prevention and suppression programs .
- Operations and Infrastructure: Plan and direct woodlands harvesting, road building, and environmental protection efforts. In some specialized roles, responsibilities include designing logging roads, drainage systems, and erosion control measures .
- Compliance and Contract Management: Monitor contract compliance for forest harvesting and management. Ensure all activities adhere to government regulations and company policies. In a practical context, this includes preparing and implementing plans for deforestation, reforestation, and ecosystem compensation that comply with national forestry laws .
- Conservation and Restoration: Work on the restoration of degraded ecosystems, manage biodiversity conservation,



and contribute to the management of protected wild areas .

Required Skills and Qualifications
