Commercial Representative Job Description
Position Overview
A Commercial Representative (also known as a Commercial Sales Representative) is a professional responsible for driving revenue growth by developing client relationships, executing sales strategies, and identifying new business opportunities. This role blends account management, business development, and strategic sales functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize profitability and revenue generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets and territories
- Prospect for new customers through various channels (cold calling, networking, industry events)
- Present products and services to current and potential customers, explaining features, benefits, and pricing
- Negotiate contracts and close sales transactions
- Build and maintain strategically beneficial working relationships with clients and key decision-makers
Account Management & Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients
- Ensure customer satisfaction through regular follow-up and after-sales service
- Coordinate and monitor customer performance to ensure contract compliance
- Process orders, handle contracts, and manage sales administration
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and practical challenges that arise
- Provide onboarding, product training, and ongoing support to clients
Strategic & Administrative Functions
- Develop quarterly and annual territory sales plans with clear targets
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems
- Prepare sales reports, budgets, and forecasts as required
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and product teams
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field (preferred)
- 1–3+ years of experience in commercial sales, B2B sales, or account management
- Experience in relevant industry sectors (petrochemical, logistics, food, financial services, etc.) may be required depending on the role

- Time Management: Ability to plan daily activities, manage a territory, and prioritize effectively
Additional Requirements
- Fluency in English (and local language as required)
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory (for field-based roles)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $554,033 - $2,362,813 per month
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
