Role Description The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s enterprise-wide compliance program. This role develops and updates compliance policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

The CCO conducts regular risk assessments, monitors regulatory changes, and advises senior leadership on compliance implications for business operations and strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading compliance training, managing internal investigations, reviewing contracts and business initiatives for regulatory impact, and coordinating with legal, finance, and operations teams to address gaps or risks. The CCO also prepares compliance reports for executive leadership and the board, supports audits, and fosters a culture of accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Compliance Management, including building and maintaining organization-wide compliance frameworks and programs.
- Strong knowledge of Regulatory Compliance requirements relevant to the company’s industry, with experience interpreting and applying laws,



regulations, and standards.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for conducting risk assessments, analyzing complex data, and developing evidence-based recommendations.
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex compliance topics clearly to diverse stakeholders and influence senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of Finance and its intersection with compliance, including familiarity with internal controls, reporting, and audit processes.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams or initiatives, with the ability to drive change and build a culture of ethical conduct.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, public policy, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) or relevant certification (e.g., CCEP, CRCM, CAMS) is highly beneficial.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed environment, with strong organizational skills, self-direction, and comfort using digital collaboration tools.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and responsibly.
