About the job
- Listen to songs across many genres and cultures.
- Produce short paragraph descriptions that summarise: The arrangement and composition; Key sonic elements and instrumentation; Genre and stylistic characteristics; Production and mixing qualities; Vocal style and expression; Emotional or atmospheric qualities; Key and harmony
- Write or verbally record descriptions in fluent English.
- Follow internal guidelines to ensure annotations are consistent, structured, and easy to understand.
- Meet quality standards and deadlines for weekly annotation tasks.What we are looking for
Strong English skills: fluent, clear, and comfortable describing creative work.
- A good understanding of music: how songs are structured,



how instruments and vocals work, how genres differ.
- Ability to listen carefully and describe what you hear in simple, well-organised language.
- Comfortable working with repetitive listening tasks.
- Ability to follow guidelines and deliver consistent results.
- Experience in music performance or audio content creation.Education:
- Certificate in Music Theory (preferred)
