Junior Associate - HR Compliance
Reports To: Associate Manager - HR Compliance
Department: Human Resources - HR Compliance
Location: Vina del Mar, Chile
Job Summary The Junior Associate - HR Compliance provides operational and administrative support across employee lifecycle and HR compliance processes. The role coordinates onboarding and offboarding workflows, reviews and maintains employment and compliance documentation, supports audits and reporting, updates HR systems and trackers, and helps ensure that established policies, procedures, privacy requirements, and applicable regulations are followed. The position requires confidentiality, accuracy, organization, customer service, and a proactive approach to process improvement and stakeholder support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding workflows and related internal logistics.
- Review and validate employment contracts, employee records, and compliance documentation for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with established procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling personal, employment, and compliance information and follow applicable privacy protocols.
- Update and maintain HR Compliance databases, trackers, employee files, and supporting records to preserve accurate and audit-ready documentation.
- Assist with internal and external audits by gathering evidence, monitoring requests, following up on action items, and verifying adherence to documented processes.
- Use internal programs, HR management tools, and established workflows to help ensure that required activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Support HR systems administration,
data management, reporting, and other general HR Compliance activities.
- Prepare reports and presentation materials using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other tools as required.
- Coordinate with employees, HR teams, corporate functions, and other stakeholders to provide timely operational support and introductory process information.
- Assist with third-party vendor coordination and follow-up for services supporting HR Compliance processes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support the implementation and maintenance of automation initiatives.
- Organize, scan, file, and retain internal compliance documentation in accordance with applicable record-management requirements.
- Provide support across multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality, accuracy, and customer service.

Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Zero to one year of experience in Human Resources, HR operations, employee lifecycle administration, compliance, or related administrative support. Relevant internship experience may be considered.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong coordination, reporting, teamwork, problem-solving, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and maintain accurate records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in HR Compliance, HR operations, onboarding, offboarding, audits, or employee document management.
- Experience maintaining trackers, reports, employee files, or HR system data.
- Interest in process improvement, workflow automation, data quality, and compliance controls.
- Familiarity with HR management systems, document repositories, ticketing tools, or similar corporate platforms.
- Basic knowledge of employment documentation or labor-compliance processes is an advantage.
