Job Summary

Infologika SpA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Administrador de Bases de Datos (Database Administrator) to join our technology team in Santiago. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, performance, security, availability, and maintenance of the company's database environments.

The idóneo candidate will have strong technical expertise in database management, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, performance optimization, and data security.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor database management systems.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of databases.
- Monitor database performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Perform database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster-recovery testing.
- Manage database security, user accounts, roles, and access permissions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and resolve performance or connectivity problems.
- Implement database maintenance, upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Develop and maintain database monitoring and maintenance procedures.
- Support developers and IT teams with database-related technical requirements.
- Assist with database design, migrations, integrations, and system implementations.
- Monitor storage capacity, resource utilization, and database growth.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Apply data protection and security best practices to safeguard company information.
- Participate in incident response and provide technical support for critical database systems.

Requirements




- Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar database-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL and database performance optimization.
- Understanding of database security, access control, and data protection practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
- Experience with database monitoring and administration tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud database platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of database automation and scripting.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Familiarity with virtualization, containers, or DevOps environments.
- Relevant database or cloud certifications are an advantage.
