Role Description The Supervisor / Jefe de Contabilidad will oversee accounting operations, ensuring the accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial information for client engagements. This role includes supervising accounting teams, reviewing journal entries and financial statements, monitoring compliance with local regulations and internal policies, and supporting audits and consulting assignments as needed.





The Supervisor / Jefe de Contabilidad will collaborate closely with other service lines, provide guidance on accounting issues, and help optimize processes and controls to improve efficiency and quality. The position is full time, on-site, and based in Chile, with responsibilities that may involve coordination across different offices and client locations.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and local tax regulations.
- Proven experience supervising accounting teams and managing day-to-day accounting operations.
- Ability to analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, and prepare accurate financial statements.
- Experience working with accounting systems and office productivity tools (e.g., ERP platforms, Excel).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in Spanish; English proficiency is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in complex accounting and compliance matters.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and client teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or local equivalent) is a plus.
- Prior experience in audit firms or professional services environments is highly beneficial.
