Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and analytical Senior Accountant to oversee key accounting and financial-reporting activities. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate financial records, support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensure compliance with Chilean accounting and tax requirements, and provide financial insights to management.

This role is adecuado for an accounting professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced digital marketplace environment and can manage multiple financial priorities with accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee daily accounting activities and financial transactions.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate general-ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
- Prepare accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and journal entries.
- Monitor marketplace payment transactions, commissions, refunds, and settlements.
- Reconcile payment-platform and bank transactions.
- Support cash-flow monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare financial reports and management summaries.




- Ensure compliance with applicable Chilean accounting and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial partners.
- Assist with tax filings and required financial documentation.
- Establish and maintain effective accounting controls and procedures.
- Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Identify accounting issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support financial planning and business decisions with relevant analysis.
- Assist with improving accounting processes through automation and digital tools.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably including senior-level responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Solid understanding of Chilean accounting and tax requirements.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Strong skills in account reconciliation, general ledger management, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple financial priorities.




- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional accounting certification or membership in a recognized accounting organization.
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, retail, technology, or digital payments.
- Experience reconciling online payment processors, merchant accounts, and marketplace transactions.
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
- Experience with financial reporting automation and accounting technology.
- Knowledge of VAT, corporate taxation, and other Chilean tax matters.
- Experience coordinating external audits.
- Strong English communication skills are an advantage.
- Experience working with high-volume financial transactions is preferred.
