Job Title: Barista / Coffee Specialist
Reports to: Cafe Manager / Head Roaster

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Barista to join our team. This role is not just about making drinks; it is about crafting an experience. You will be responsible for educating customers about our single-origin coffees, dialing in grind settings, and executing precision-based brewing methods (pour-over, Aeropress, espresso).

Key Responsibilities:
- Brewing Excellence: Operate commercial espresso machines and grinders; dial in espresso parameters (dose, yield, time) multiple times per day to maintain flavor consistency.
- Latte Art: Pour high-contrast, well-textured microfoam for cappuccinos and lattes.
- Customer Education: Explain flavor profiles (acidity, body, tasting notes) to customers and make personalized recommendations.
- Batch Brew:



Manage the rotation of drip coffee and cold brew to ensure freshness.
- Bean Handling: Properly store and date coffee beans to ensure peak freshness.
- Cleanliness: Maintain meticulous cleanliness of equipment (backflushing, cleaning steam wands, burr grinder cleaning).

Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a specialty coffee environment.
- Strong understanding of espresso extraction theory.
- Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs (bags of beans/milk).
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Bonus: SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) certification.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $266,360 - $662,461 per month

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
