That is why we are opening a new role:
Research & Impact Intern — Child DevelopmentThis person will help us build the MEG Evidence & Learning System v1.
Not to prove that MEG works.
To help us understand what is actually happening when children, adults and institutions interact with the environments we create.
You will work with real projects and real observations.
You might look at
- a child using something in a way nobody expected;
- a transition that suddenly feels easier;
- an adult joining an interaction spontaneously;
- a module that nobody understands;
- a space that works beautifully for one age group and not for another;
- feedback from educators, therapists or families;
- research that challenges one of our assumptions.
And your job will be to help us separate: what we observed from what we think it means from what we still need to learn.
That distinction matters deeply to us.
Because MEG does not want to become a company that makes big claims about childhood.
We want to become a company that learns carefully from childhood.
You will work closely with our founders, design and operations, helping us turn field observations, research and institutional feedback into knowledge that improves every future intervention.
We are especially interested in people from:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Early Childhood Education
- Education
- Child Development
- Educational Research
- related fields
But your degree matters less than how you think. You may be a great fit if you:
- are curious before you are certain;
- can read research without hiding behind academic language;
- notice patterns other people miss;
- are comfortable saying “we don’t know yet”;
- care about children without romanticizing childhood;
- can turn messy qualitative information into clear thinking;
- want to work at the intersection of design, development, education and the built environment;
- like building systems from zero.
One sentence captures the role: We are not looking for someone to validate what MEG already believes. We are looking for someone who can help us ask better questions.At MEG, we believe every intervention should leave two things behind:
value inside the institution and knowledge inside MEG.
Your job will be to help us build the second.
This is a part-time, hybrid internship based in Santiago, Chile, with opportunities to participate in real institutional visits, research, observation and the development of a system that will shape how MEG learns as it grows.
