Role Description The Ingeniero de Redes Especialista en Ecosistema WatchGuard is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Santiago Metropolitan Area, with some flexibility for remote work. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures centered on the WatchGuard ecosystem, including firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and administering network devices, monitoring performance and security events, and performing proactive troubleshooting to ensure high availability and resilience.

The specialist collaborates with internal teams and clients to define network requirements, implement secure architectures, and document configurations, procedures,



and incident resolutions. The role also involves staying current with WatchGuard product updates and best practices, providing technical guidance, and supporting continuous improvement of network security and reliability.

Qualifications

- Strong Network Administration skills, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, and security appliances.

- Proven Network Engineering experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-availability network solutions.

- Advanced Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues in multi-vendor environments.

- Solid Network Security knowledge, especially with WatchGuard firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention, and perimeter security controls.

- Network Design capabilities to create architectures that align with business requirements, performance goals, and compliance standards.

- Hands-on experience with WatchGuard ecosystem (Firebox, WatchGuard Cloud, authentication and logging tools) or similar security platforms.

- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., WatchGuard Certified, CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+) are highly beneficial.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, document solutions, and work collaboratively in hybrid teams.

- Fluency in Spanish and good reading comprehension in English for technical documentation; prior experience
