We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join the Finance & Administration (F&A;) team in Santiago, Chile.

The purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, support timely and insightful financial reporting, and contribute to operational excellence through accounting, reporting, internal control, and vendor master data management.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Process and post monthly depreciation and amortization entries.
- Support with the verification, allocation, and posting of accruals and provisions accurately and on a timely basis, according to Senior Accountant requests.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of financial data.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including review of balance sheet accounts, accruals, reclassifications, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare Agent commission reports – Projects and Services, spare parts – monitor provisions and propose payments once conditions for paying are met.
- Perform month-end import operations closing and review documentation to ensure all import transactions closed during the month are accurately and timely posted.
- Perform the daily upload of bank transactions and support cash flow monitoring and reporting as required.
- Monitor and follow up on AR/AP parked payments.
- Manage and maintain vendor master data, including payment terms, tax details, banking information, and supporting documentation needed for creation and modification.
- Provide financial data, explanations, and analysis as requested by management.
- Participate in internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to information requests.
- Protect financial information by maintaining confidentiality and following company data handling expectations.

- Controls, Compliance and Process Improvement

- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, local tax regulations, internal controls, and agreed finance operating models.




- Support segregation of duties by following the established control framework for finance activities.
- Recommend and implement finance process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, traceability, and standardization.
- Collaborate with regional and international teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting.
- Promote a “Safety First” culture and ensure adherence to safety and quality expectations across finance-related activities.
- Support the overall organizational vision, values, and culture by promoting accountability, continuous improvement, quality, compliance, active communication, and constructive feedback.
- Perform other duties, analyses, and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial documents, tax information, and account reconciliations.
- Ability to handle high transaction volumes, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities without compromising accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Experienced with ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, management, and local, regional, and international teams.
- Ability to adapt to changes in processes, systems, regulations, and organizational structures.




- High ethical standards and integrity in handling confidential financial information.
- Advanced/Proficient English is required, as English is the business language of TOMRA.
- Spanish proficiency is required for local business and statutory interactions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting roles, including general ledger postings, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting support, vendor master data management, and business analysis. Experience working in an analytical accounting/finance capacity, with responsibility for reviewing and analyzing financial information. LATAM, regional, or international finance exposure, including experience working with companies, operations, or teams within or outside LATAM.

Work Environment & Other Requirements

- Location: Santiago, Chile.
- Work Status: Full Time.
- Ability to work in an open office and fast-paced, customer-centric finance environment.
- This is not a supervisory role.
- This position requires minimal travel.
- Ability to drive without restrictions in the country of residence.
- Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
- Kneel, bend, and stand as necessary.
- Ability to lift 20 kgs.

Key Requirements for the Position

- Advanced/Proficient English – mandatory, as English is TOMRA's business language.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience performing accounting and financial analysis, not only administrative accounting tasks.
- Experience with general ledger postings, reconciliations, month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Experience with business/financial analysis and vendor master data management.
- LATAM, regional or international finance exposure, working with companies, operations or teams within or outside LATAM.
- ERP systems and Microsoft Excel experience.
