Possess thorough knowledge of all aspects of the assigned project construction execution plan, commissioning execution plans and turnover activities.
This position may serve as lead role on small to medium scale projects and/or a supporting role on large scale complex projects worldwide.Participate in home office design efforts supporting system boundary definitions; piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID;), Electrical One-Lines, loop drawings, database maintenance, etc.Establish project specific written commissioning and turnover procedures for Final Phase ExecutionWork with project groups to finalize and agree to the physical documentation requirements for the start up of systems and facilitiesWork with site and commissioning management in identifying, communicating, and mitigating potential risks that could adversely effect project completionMaintain progress tracking tools and turnover database management systems on current completions programSubmit weekly reports outlining construction turnover progress and one-week look ahead of upcoming activitiesOther duties as assignedBasic Job RequirementsAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirementsAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors,



and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerOther Job RequirementsAssist in on boarding new team members through coaching and/or other orientation practices and career development of teamUnderstand the current capabilities of automation tools and confirm they are being utilized to the full benefit of the department and projectDevelop and implement a detailed and integrated startup process and planCoordinate system walk-downs, punch-list closure, and turnover acceptanceMaintain turnover dossiers and transfer care custody and control documentationMonitor engineering, construction, and sub-contractor performance in turning over the systems and sub-systemsEnhance skills, performance and development of all employees by sponsoring and promoting completion training programs so that adherence to operations guidelines and specifications is ensured and work of the highest quality prevailsMaintain safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing established project procedures relating to safety, work permitting and work order systems; adhere to legal requirementsParticipate in the career development of commissioning personnel assigned to the teamReport discipline progress against scheduled activitiesCoordinate craft and equipment support for commissioning activitiesPreferred QualificationsTwelve (12) years of experience in operations, mechanical, electrical, distributed control systems (DCS) or instrumentation and controls (I&C;) commissioningFive (5)



years control room operations experience (operations/mechanical)Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office suite of software programs, Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities (or equivalent), and Lotus NotesDemonstrated willingness and ability to travel on a short notice both internationally and domestically for short and long term assignmentsAbility to build effective relationships with client, engineering, construction, and vendor personnelExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to speak/read multiple languagesWe are an equal opportunity employer.
