Result of Service
- The consultant will provide substantive legal, technical, and strategic support to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean team and the Secretariat of the Escazú Agreement in the development and preparation of roadmaps for the national implementation of the Escazú Agreement in one State Party, contributing to the strengthening of institutional capacities, multi-stakeholder engagement, and effective implementation processes at the national level.: - Provide substantive and technical support for the implementation of the seven-step methodology for the development of the national roadmap for the implementation of the Escazú Agreement in the selected country;
- Support the preparation, coordination, and facilitation of at least one national workshop, consultation, or multi-stakeholder dialogue process in support of the roadmap development process;
- Support the finalization, publication, and dissemination of a national roadmap for the implementation of the Escazú Agreement,



including coordination of related documentation and stakeholder engagement processes.

- Under the supervision of the responsible officer, the consultant will provide substantive legal, technical, and strategic support for the development of a national implementation roadmap for the Escazú Agreement in one State Party, in accordance with the seven-step methodology developed by Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and adopted by the Conference of the Parties (COP), including through the following activities: - Conduct a comprehensive baseline assessment of national legal, policy, institutional, and regulatory frameworks related to articles 2 to 10 of the Escazú Agreement, including the analysis of existing national practices, implementation gaps, and opportunities for strengthening compliance and implementation;
