The Role
Assists Speech and Language Therapists by undertaking a variety of tasks/routine interventions under the direction of the Speech and Language Therapist across varied locations and with different client groups.
Duties and location may vary depending on the client group/aspect and demands of the service/level of experience.
In This Key Role, You Will
To implement speech and language therapy programmes devised by and under the direction of the Speech and Language Therapist with clients with a range of difficulties and health needs.
To prepare and organise therapy activities and equipment for own and others' therapy within the programme agreed with the Speech and Language Therapist.
To carry out specified observation and information gathering to contribute to the speech and language therapy assessment/treatment.




To determine and assess patient responses to treatment on an ongoing basis.
What You'll Bring

SVQ III in Health and Social Care or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
Ability to work with people and part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to carry out assigned patient/client care/therapy tasks effectively within a busy environment.
