Salary - £115,331 - £153,247 per annumWe are looking to welcome new colleagues to join an enthusiastic, motivated and supportive team of 23 Consultant Emergency Physicians (19 WTE) dedicated to providing care that is patient-centred, safe and clinically effective.You will work in the Emergency Department at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, which opened in ****.
The department has an annual attendance of ***** with approximately 25% paediatrics.There is a 24-hour middle grade rota filled with a mixture of Trainees from the South-East and East of Scotland rotations, specialty doctors and senior fellows.We have an excellent relationship and collaborate closely with all in-patient teams.
As a department we are committed to teaching and providing a positive experience of EM to our junior doctors.
Our trainees rate their experiences in Fife highly and this is recognised regionally and in GMC surveys.NHS Fife welcomes applications from both newly qualified and established Consultants in Emergency Medicine to join and expand our motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated team.
They will be encouraged to develop a specialist interest relevant to Emergency medicine so complementing current Consultants' interests.Applicants who wish to arrange job plans to accommodate other professional interests are encouraged to apply.Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview or in the process of applying for Portfolio Pathway (CESR).




Non UK Applicants - Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.
