Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Support the (Produce Safety Alliance) (PSA) standardized curriculum, to growers and other stakeholders. Facilitate, support, and assist with the delivery of PSA training sessions to growers, packers, and other industry professionals. Maintain accurate and detailed records of training programs, including participant information, training materials, and evaluation data. Stay current with the latest developments in produce safety, including changes to regulations, new research, and emerging issues. Facilitate support and document training associated with the PSA curriculum, including maintaining appropriate records.
Help monitor training program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Participate in the On-Farm Readiness Review (OFRR) program to support Florida growers in preparing for Produce Safety Rule. Participate in on-farm reviews to assess grower readiness for Produce Safety Rule compliance.
Participate in Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) training programs throughout the state in conjunction with food safety extension personnel. Assist with GAPs training programs for growers, packers, and other industry professionals. Maintain a thorough understanding of GAPs and produce safety regulations. Driving to trainings will be required.
EXPECTED SALARY:
$24.90 to $28.26 per hour commensurate with education and experience
