EQUANS Chile (EQCL) is looking for a SENIOR ZSCALER SECURITY ENGINEER (L3) to become a key technical expert within our global Network &

- Security team. If you have deep expertise in Zscaler Security Service Edge (SSE) technologies and are passionate about cybersecurity, cloud networking, automation, and service excellence, this is an exciting opportunity to make a global impact.

About The Role

As a Level 3 Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of our global Security Service Edge platform, currently based on Zscaler. You will act as the highest technical escalation level for Zscaler-related services while supporting strategic transformation projects and mentoring Level 2 engineers.

You will work within a global environment supporting users across Europe, LATAM, NORAM, and ANZ regions and contribute to the evolution of a modern, cloud-first network security architecture.

What You Will Do

Zscaler &

- Security Expertise

- Serve as the primary technical expert for the general Zscaler environment.
- Design, implement, and optimize Zscaler solutions including:
- ZIA (Zscaler Internet Access)
- ZPA (Zscaler Private Access)
- Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
- Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
- Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS)

- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex security and connectivity incidents.
- Drive secure access transformation initiatives and cloud security projects.

Operations &

- Service Excellence

- Provide Level 3 support for critical incidents and major escalations.
- Ensure service delivery aligned with ITIL best practices and global governance standards.
- Maintain and improve technical documentation, procedures, and operational standards.




- Collaborate with global teams to improve performance, security, and service reliability.
- Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Leadership &

- Knowledge Sharing

- Mentor and coach Level 2 engineers.
- Lead technical knowledge-sharing sessions and best-practice workshops.
- Support the transition of services from external providers into the internal global SLS team.
- Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.

Required Experience

What We Are Looking For

- 5+ years of experience in Network Security or IT Infrastructure.
- Proven hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise-scale Zscaler environments.
- Experience working in complex multinational organizations.
- Strong background in incident management, problem management, and service operations.
- Experience working with global vendors and managed service providers.

Technical Skills

Mandatory

- Advanced expertise in:
- Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA)
- Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
- Security Service Edge (SSE)
- Zero Trust Architecture
- Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
- Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS)

- Strong understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, routing, proxy technologies, and network security principles.
- ITIL certification or solid IT Service Management knowledge.

Highly Desirable

- Azure and/or AWS networking knowledge.
- Palo Alto, Panorama, Fortinet, FortiManager, Tufin.




- Cisco, Meraki, Juniper networking technologies.
- Cisco ISE.
- SD-WAN technologies.
- ServiceNow and CMDB platforms.
- Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, APIs).

- Ability to work effectively within global, multicultural teams.
