The challenged Ahead
Accountabilities with the biggest impact:
- Designs safety programs tailored to the specific needs and realities of each project and, through the application of BOS, ensures continuous improvement and the achievement of defined HSS objectives.




- Provides strategic HSS support to Project Directors and Project Managers, enabling sustainable decision-making across projects.
- Effectively manages EPCM contractor(s) to ensure alignment with, and compliance with, BHP standards and requirements, thereby achieving excellence in HSS performance.
- Engages and negotiates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of HSS tactical plans.
- Leads by example in demonstrating our values and, through leadership and influence, fosters a strong safety culture across work teams.
- Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Makes evidence based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer term business objectives.
