Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Demo Farm Supervisor This position will be located in La Unión. XIV Región de los Rios.

This position reports to the Regional Demo Farm Manager and is part of Fall Creek’s Research & Development department, assisting in the day-to-day operations of the demo farm.

Essential Duties

- Supervises all nursery workers, contractors, and/or technicians working at the farm.
- Supervises all harvest crews, planting crews, and weed management crews.
- Assists with field data collection on Research & Development projects.
- Collect routine pH and EC readings and adjust fertilization accordingly.
- Collects leaf and soil samples for analysis.
- Assists in maintaining an accurate farm inventory throughout the year.
- Assists with frost and heat protection at the research farm.
- Implements and executes the fertilization plan.
- Implements and executes the pest management plan, including all management activities regarding pollinators.
- Coordinates with team leaders, managers, and other departments for utilization of equipment and facilities.
- Assists with purchasing and receiving of farm supplies, fertilizer, and other chemicals as needed.
- Assists with building and adjusting the irrigation schedule.
- Responsible for all potting events, field plantings, and plant movements.
- Performs routine equipment inspections and reports any issues to the Facilities department and the Regional Demo Farm Manger.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, And Training

- Requires 3+ years in a supervisory role.
- Typically requires knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Requires ability to collect data in various platforms including, but not limited to, proprietary databases, Excel, and Fulcrum.




- Requires the ability to program, troubleshoot, and maintain irrigation controllers.
- Ability to collaborate with other team members, develop strong relationships, and maintain a positive attitude. Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence team decision making.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines with strict attention to detail.
- Requires good oral and written communication skills.
- Preferably bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company values, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
- Demonstrated track record of teamwork in a multicultural environment and ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
