About The Role
We're hiring a Data Centre Fibre Technician to join an on-site technical team supporting a hyperscale data centre operator in Santiago.
You'll be part of a small, hands‐on crew responsible for keeping critical fibre and network infrastructure running - installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment inside a live, mission-critical facility.
What you'll do
Install, replace,



and decommission fibre jumpers and cabling within the data centre.
Carry out rack‐and‐stack activity, cable routing, labelling, and cable management.
Work through a daily ticket queue: locate faults, replace components, test and certify connections.
Coordinate material and parts availability, and flag shortages or alternatives when needed.
Follow strict standard operating procedures and safety protocols at all times.
Keep accurate records of work completed, and escalate blockers quickly.
What we're looking for
A technical, hands‐on background - data centre or fibre experience is a plus, but not essential.
Backgrounds such as mechanics, cabling/electrical work, or other process‐driven technical trades are welcome.
Comfortable following detailed written procedures and documentation.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
Able to work independently for extended periods, and equally comfortable being part of a small team.
Fluent English, spoken and written (this is a hard requirement - the working language of the programme is English).
Comfortable in an industrial environment: noise, temperature‐controlled spaces, and physical work (lifting/moving equipment up to ~50 lbs regularly).
Certifications such as BICSI, CFOT, or CompTIA A+/Network+ are an advantage but not required.
