Your Future Role
You will be a member of the COMOS specialist team and a technical reference point.
You will manage the platform for large corporate clients and SQL Server DB, ensuring the object/class structure, performance, and stability.
Develop custom solutions in .
NET and VBScript using the COMOS DLL and/or API to automate repetitive tasks and optimize engineering workflows.
Manage bidirectional engineering between COMOS and SIMATIC PCS 7, including automation project generation and readback processes.
Execute migration and import of existing data, such as AutoCAD drawings, listings, and documentation, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Translate the needs of process, electrical, and instrumentation teams into structured and scalable solutions aligned with standards such as ISO *****, ISA-5.1, KKS, and ISA-95.
Participate in the design and implementation of integrations between COMOS and other systems, such as SAP S/4HANA (PM), SIMIT, and corporate platforms, using REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
Provide expert support to projects during the design, commissioning,



and startup stages: you will resolve incidents and assist the client when necessary.
Define standards, technical guides, and best practices for COMOS usage, and train both technical and non-technical users.
Work with multicultural and international teams, acting as a bridge between engineering, IT, and business areas.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA (PM module).
Experience in PCS 7 readback processes.
Knowledge and experience in SIMIT simulation software.
Experience with .
NET version 8 or Python.
Experience with other DCS systems (Emerson DeltaV, ABB System 800xA, Honeywell Experion PKS).
Your Profile
Professional degree in Electrical, Automation, or Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing the Siemens COMOS suite (Platform, Process, EI&C;, Automation, Operations, Document Management, Enterprise Server).
Intermediate-advanced knowledge of SQL Server (T-SQL, administration, scripting, and querying).
Knowledge and interpretation of P&ID; and control diagrams, and standards such as ISO *****, KKS, ISA-95, and ISA-5.1.
Experience importing AutoCAD drawings (DWG/DXF) into COMOS.
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and XML, and tools such as Postman and Swagger.
Experience in industrial environments during design, commissioning, or startup processes (mining, cement, food & beverage, pulp & paper).
Demonstrable experience with SIMATIC PCS 7 systems.
Excellent communication skills with technical and commercial users in integral environments.
Fluent conversational English for daily work with international teams.
Fluent conversational Spanish for daily work.
Availability to work in a hybrid model based in Chile.
