Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Valparaiso, IN

Pay:

Level 2: $29.73

Level 3: $33.10

Level 4: $36.47

Shift: Monday-Friday 8-hour shift OR 12-hour day shift 3 / 4 days per week

Overview:



Sun Chemical is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Valparaiso, IN location. The required experience will vary depending on the specific role level (Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4). The Maintenance Technician will be adept at independently assessing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all facility equipment. We are particularly interested in candidates who are eager to learn and advance through multiple levels.

Essential Job Functions:
- Follows all plant and OSHA safety policies and procedures, reporting all near misses and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Capable of the installation, repair, and maintenance of all plant equipment, including new equipment installations and special project work.
- Perform safely and adequately under stress when confronted with hazardous, critical, or urgent situations.
- Willing and capable of working with, directing, and imparting knowledge to similar and lesser-skilled pers
