POSITION SUMMARY:
The Gym Supervisor supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This part-time position supports the Sports team through ensuring members experience positive interactions while maintaining a safe gym environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




- Supervise member and program use of gymnasium. This includes but is not limited to security, problem-solving, and monitoring appropriate behavior using cause driven language and providing teachable moments
- Intercede when building behaviors do not meet Y guidelines.
- Work with Members Services Leads to contact police, when/if needed.
- Set standard and provide example of exemplary member relationship building and member experience skills.
- Provide a presence in the facility, connecting with members, interacting, collecting member stories, answering questions and resolving conflicts.
- Communicate actively with supervisor concerning ongoing building/member issues.
- Partner with Member Services Leads as necessary.
- Follow emergency procedures and safety precautions. Follow procedures for reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.
