The challenged Ahead
Leads the site-based engineering function for Minera Spence or Minera Escondida, providing visible leadership and technical direction to ensure engineering strategies, designs and field solutions enable safe, reliable and efficient project execution, construction,
commissioning and operational readiness. Working on a 4x3 roster, the role partners closely with site leadership, Projects, Construction, Commissioning, Operations and Maintenance, while coaching and developing engineering teams to deliver high performance.
Our Project Portfolio currently consists of several Medium and Major Process and Non-Process Infrastructure Projects with a strong concentration of them in the Tailings area. This role will focus on the engineering administration of several of these tailing's projects and their integration in their respective asset.
The role reports to Manager Engineering.
Main Responsabilities
• Lead discipline engineering strategy and execution across the project lifecycle, applying deep technical expertise and ensuring compliance with BHP requirements, applicable regulations, Project, Construction and Commissioning Engineering Standards, and effective safety controls.
