Con base en Santiago, el Global Category Specialist apoya al equipo de Gestión Global de Categorías en el desarrollo y ejecución de actividades de gestión de categorías globales, iniciativas de abastecimiento y análisis de valor en todas las regiones donde Finning opera, específicamente en las categorías de Tecnología (IT) y Servicios Corporativos y Profesionales. El Global Category Specialist desarrolla y mantiene relaciones con los equipos locales de compras, líderes del negocio y proveedores a nivel global, reportando al Director Global de Procurement, con sede en Alberta, Canadá.

Major Job Functions
- Supports the Integral Category Management team to create value, drive improvements, and realize savings across the regions in which Finning operates.



Executes the global category management strategy that supports the company’s strategy and Global Supply Chain strategy. Provides input and recommendations to the business including: processes, systems and analysis of overall global spending to identify new opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
- Develops, grows and maintains trusted and collaborative relationships with regional business partners, contracting team partners, internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that Procurement remains as a valued partner, being appropriately involved in business decisions.
- Identify, develop and maintain relationships with strategic, global and critical suppliers to improve supplier performance and to ensure the most competitive total cost of ownership of goods and services globally is negotiated.
