About the Role

Insight General's client is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and enhancing the next generation of its payments platform. This individual will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and system design through production deployment and operational support. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with product, compliance, operations, and engineering leaders while developing highly scalable backend services that support payment processing, settlement,



onboarding, and financial transactions. The ideal candidate is a technically strong engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, driving modernization efforts, mentoring others, and taking ownership of systems in production.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services supporting financial transactions and payment platform functionality.
- Build and enhance systems related to onboarding, payments, settlement, foreign exchange, and business‑critical financial operations.
- Collaborate with product, compliance, and operational teams to deliver new capabilities from concept through deployment.
- Develop and maintain integrations with external partners and third‑party platforms.
- Drive service reliability, monitoring, observability, incident response, and production readiness within assigned domains.
