The Installer is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely installation of elevator and escalator units in accordance with Otis standards, building codes, and COPI's quality and safety protocols. The role works closely with project engineers, field supervisors, and general contractors to ensure installations are completed on schedule and within specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Install elevator and escalator components including guide rails, hoisting machines, control panels, doors, cabs, and safety devices in accordance with Otis installation standards and local building codes.

- Read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.

- Coordinate with the Project Engineer and Field Supervisor to ensure installation schedules are met and quality standards are upheld.

- Perform pre-installation checks and ensure the hoistway/machine room is ready for installation activities.

- Conduct wiring, electrical connections, and mechanical assembly of elevator/escalator units.

- Assist in testing and commissioning of installed units in compliance with Otis and COPI safety protocols.

- Identify and report any site deficiencies, safety hazards, or deviations from installation plans to the supervisor immediately.

- Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety (OH&S;) policies and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

- Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions as required.





- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area throughout the installation process.

- Complete punch lists and corrective works as directed by the Field Engineer or Service Supervisor.

- Assist in the preparation and submission of as-built documentation and inspection reports.

Requirements

- Graduate of a BS Engineering course (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field)

- TESDA NC II in Electrical Installation & Maintenance is a plus

- At least 1 year in electrical or mechanical installation (fresh graduates with relevant OJT are welcome)

- Prior experience in elevator/escalator installation is an advantage

- Exposure to construction site environments

- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams

- Proficient in hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments

- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical assembly

- Familiar with LOTO procedures and fall protection systems
