About This Position

We are looking for a consultant with experience in health project implementation, to support the growing portfolio of The Health Nutrition and Population Division (HNP) in Haiti. The consultant will be based in Panama, with frequent missions to Haiti.

The Health Nutrition and Population Division (HNP) is responsible for the preparation and supervision of IDB operations in borrowing member countries, with a mandate to support more equity, effectiveness and cost effectiveness in their policies and programs towards Universal Health Coverage, supporting the areas of: (i) health networks strengthening, organization and performance of health systems, (ii) health, nutrition, and population-based interventions to improve health outcomes; (iii) health capital investment strategies (iv)



health system financing, and epidemiologic-demographic transition. In the specific case of Haiti, HNP has been managing a growing health portfolio centered on promoting an integrated health network approach, based on essential care.

The Social Sector (SCL) is a multidisciplinary team convinced that investing in people is the way to improve lives and overcome the development challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean. Jointly with the countries in the region, the Social Sector formulates public policy solutions to reduce poverty and improve the delivery of education, work, social protection, and health services to citizens. The objective is to advance a more productive region, with equal opportunities for men and women, and greater inclusion of the most vulnerable groups.
