The Repair Mechanic is responsible for the hands-on repair, troubleshooting, and restoration of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways at client sites. Working under the supervision of the Service Supervisor, the Repair Mechanic ensures that all units are restored to full operational condition in compliance with COPI's safety standards, quality protocols, and applicable building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in elevators, escalators, and moving walkways.
- Perform repair and restoration of defective components including motors, control systems, door mechanisms, safety devices, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct post-repair testing and commissioning to validate proper and safe operation of units.
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls and emergency repair requests from clients nationwide.
- Perform periodic maintenance activities in accordance with COPI's preventive maintenance schedules.
- Identify and recommend replacement of worn or damaged parts to prevent future breakdowns.
- Complete and submit accurate service and repair reports after every job assignment.
- Coordinate with the Service Supervisor and parts team to ensure timely availability of required components.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with COPI's Safety, Quality, and Ethics standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas at client sites.
- Assist in the installation and modernization of elevator and escalator units when required.
- Attend mandatory safety briefings, technical training,



and skills enhancement programs.

Job Qualifications

- Graduate of BS or equivalent technical NCII course.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical repair (fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude are encouraged to apply).
- Experience in elevator, escalator, or industrial equipment repair is a strong advantage.
- Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting electrical schematic diagrams, mechanical blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in the use of measuring instruments and diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces with proper safety equipment.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding field work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays when needed.
- Willing to be deployed and travel to various client sites nationwide.
