Senior People Business Partner

THE COMPANY

Our client is a sustainable solutions consultancy, general company with operations across Latin America. Globe 24-7 has been selected to lead the search for its Senior People Business Partner, LATAM.

THE ROLE

This role is responsible for leading the People agenda across South America, supporting approximately 250 to 350 employees, based in Chile and Brazil, with further growth expected across the region. Based in Santiago and reporting to the Senior People Business Partner, Americas (based in Canada), this role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders and works alongside a local People team of 3 to 5 HR professionals in Santiago.

This role requires broad People leadership experience, a strong background in employee relations and organizational effectiveness, and a proven ability to support business growth, organizational change, and acquisition integrations. Hands-on experience with Brazilian employment practices (CLT, eSocial, terminations and labour relations) and deep knowledge of Chilean employment legislation are essential. This is a hands-on senior role within the Americas team: the successful candidate will not only advise but personally execute the work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

People Leadership

• Work alongside, guide, and develop the Santiago-based People team, leading by example in a lean, hands-on environment.

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
- Partner with Global People Teams, including COEs, and the Americas People Team to align on people initiatives, process improvements, system enhancements, and service delivery.
- Support organizational change initiatives, business growth, and acquisition integration activities across the region.

Strategic People Business Partnership

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders across Latin America on people strategy, organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement.

- Provide guidance and coaching on leadership effectiveness, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
- Partner with leaders to build high-performing, engaged teams aligned with business objectives.
- Translate business priorities into actionable people strategies and solutions.

Employee Relations &

- People Advisory

• Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, investigations, performance management, and employee wellbeing.





- Lead the resolution of complex and sensitive employee issues, balancing business needs with employee experience and legal compliance.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, practices, and employment standards across the region.
- Support managers in addressing performance, conduct, and workplace challenges effectively.
- Personally conduct and manage terminations in compliance with local legislation, particularly in Chile and Brazil.

HR Operations &

- Employee Experience

• Oversee the delivery of People services across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding.

- Ensure employee data and documentation are maintained accurately and in compliance with local requirements.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the employee and manager experience across the region.
- Partner with People Operations and Payroll teams to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery.

Acquisition Integration &

- Organizational Change

• Lead the people-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations, including the ongoing integration of recently acquired businesses in the region.

- Develop and execute integration plans that support employee engagement, retention, and business continuity.
- Partner with leaders to manage organizational changes and workforce transitions successfully.
- Support change management and communication strategies during periods of transformation.

Compensation, Benefits &

- Compliance

• Partner with Global Reward and Benefits teams to support compensation reviews, benefits administration, and annual people cycle activities.

- Maintain knowledge of employment legislation and labour practices across Latin America, with particular depth in Chile and Brazil, and ensure compliance with local requirements.
- Provide guidance to leaders on employment risk, policy interpretation, and workforce decisions.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and governance requirements as needed.

Systems, Reporting &

- Continuous Improvement

• Champion adoption, optimization, and data integrity of the recently implemented Workday platform across the region.

- Utilize People data, reporting, and analytics to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, simplify operations, and enhance service delivery.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior roles supporting regional or multi-country organizations.





- Proven experience leading the people-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations.
- Significant hands-on experience in employee relations, investigations, performance management, and terminations.
- Strong track record as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders, developing and executing people strategies that support business growth and organizational effectiveness.
- Deep knowledge of employment legislation, labour practices, and HR compliance in Chile and Brazil, including hands-on experience with Brazilian labour law (CLT) and eSocial.
- Demonstrated ability to work hands-on in a lean team, personally executing the work rather than only directing it.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with Workday, including reporting, analytics, data management, and process optimization.

- Experience leading and developing People teams across multiple countries.
- Experience in organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and change management.
- Experience working within global, matrixed, and fast-paced environments.
- Experience partnering with COEs, People Operations, Payroll, and Talent Acquisition to deliver integrated people solutions.
- Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management, coaching, communication, influencing, and project management skills.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND LANGUAGES

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field.

- Professional Human Resources certification and/or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Professional working proficiency in Portuguese is strongly preferred.

LOCATION

Santiago, Chile (on-site at the Santiago office).

Travel of up to 10% of the time, primarily to Brazil.
