About Wired CIO

Wired CIO is a Chicago based Microsoft partner delivering Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and managed IT services to growing mid-market organizations. As a Microsoft CSP, we implement ERP and CRM platforms, build custom integrations and applications, and run day to day IT operations for our clients. We are now launching a dedicated Azure and AI practice, and we are looking for the architect who will build it.

The Role

This is a founding leadership role. You will be the senior technical voice for everything Azure and AI at Wired CIO: shaping the offerings, winning the first engagements alongside our sales team, delivering the architecture, and growing the team as the practice scales. You will work directly with clients to move workloads out of the data center, modernize applications into cloud native services, and connect Azure to the SaaS platforms our clients already depend on, including Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365.

We want someone who already treats AI as a core part of how they build software and who is actively looking for the next tool, model, or pattern that makes delivery faster and better.

What You Will Do

Lead the Azure and AI practice

- Define the practice vision, service catalog, packaged offerings, and delivery methodology
- Build reusable reference architectures, landing zone templates, and IaC modules that make every engagement faster than the last
- Hire, mentor, and lead engineers as the practice grows
- Own technical quality across all Azure and AI engagements

Architect and deliver

- Plan and execute on premise to Azure infrastructure migrations, from discovery and assessment through cutover
- Lead cloud native redevelopment of legacy applications using containers, Kubernetes, serverless, and managed PaaS services
- Design integrations between Azure and SaaS platforms such as Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, and third party line of business systems
- Design and build AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and related services,



including agents, retrieval augmented generation, and workflow automation
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code standards across client environments
- Apply the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework to security, cost, reliability, and governance decisions

Drive presales and growth

- Partner with sales on discovery calls, solution design, technical demos, and client workshops
- Produce scopes, estimates, architecture diagrams, and statements of work
- Present confidently to executives and technical stakeholders alike
- Identify expansion opportunities within our existing Dynamics and managed services client base

Run multi-tenant operations

- Manage client environments through Azure Lighthouse and GDAP delegated administration
- Define least privilege access models and governance standards for partner managed tenants

What You Bring

Required

- 7 or more years in cloud or infrastructure engineering, with at least 4 years focused on Azure architecture
- A track record of completed projects in one or more of these areas: on premise to Azure migrations, cloud native application redevelopment, or Azure integrations with SaaS platforms
- Hands on infrastructure as code experience with Bicep, Terraform, or both
- Strong CI/CD pipeline experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Production experience with Kubernetes, ideally AKS, plus container tooling such as Docker, Helm, and Azure Container Registry
- Solid grounding in Azure networking, identity with Entra ID, security, and cost management




- Daily use of AI in your own software development workflow, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or agentic coding tools, and a habit of experimenting with what comes next
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to explain complex architecture clearly to non-technical audiences and lead client meetings with US stakeholders
- Based in Chile with authorization to work there
- Presales experience: scoping, solutioning, client presentations, or proposal writing

Strongly preferred

- Experience with Azure Lighthouse and GDAP in a Microsoft partner or MSP setting
- Experience building with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, or Microsoft Copilot Studio
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform integration patterns
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert, or AI-102 Azure AI Engineer
- Prior experience building or leading a practice, team, or service line at a consultancy or partner
- Experience working with US based clients or distributed teams across time zones
- Spanish fluency, helpful for growing a Latin America based delivery team

What Success Looks Like First 90 days: Practice offerings defined, reference landing zone and IaC baseline in place, and the first Azure or AI engagements scoped and sold alongside the sales team.

First year: A repeatable delivery model, a growing pipeline of migration, modernization, and AI projects, and the first hires on your team.
