If this sounds like a culture you would like to work inJob DescriptionResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality programs in accordance with regulatory standards and internal policiesConduct thorough risk assessments and audits of food safety practices across all operationsCollaborate with production and quality assurance teams to address and resolve food safety issuesTrain and educate staff on food safety protocols and best practices to promote a culture of complianceStay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and improvementPrepare and present reports on food safety metrics and compliance status to senior managementOther duties as assigned.Basic Job RequirementsRequired:Bachelor's degree in food science, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field5+ years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory complianceIn-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and relevant food safety regulations (FDA, USDA,
etc.)Experience in conducting audits and implementing corrective actionsPreferred QualificationsPreferred:Certification as a Food Safety Manager or equivalentExperience working in a manufacturing environmentStrong project management and interpersonal skillsTechnical Skills and Relevant TechnologiesProficiency in food safety management systems and softwareStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulationsExperience with quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologiesSoft Skills and Cultural FitExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalDetail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentA proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risksOther Job RequirementsRequires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
