Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteer is a full-time, on-site role based in Valparaíso. This position is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and training volunteers to support institutional programs and community initiatives. The coordinator plans and manages volunteer schedules, tracks volunteer hours, and ensures that volunteer activities align with organizational needs and standards.

Day-to-day tasks include communicating with volunteers and staff, organizing orientations and workshops, and maintaining up-to-date volunteer records. The role also involves developing outreach activities to attract new volunteers, fostering positive relationships in the community, and regularly evaluating volunteer programs for effectiveness and improvement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively organize, support, and develop volunteer teams.




- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to build relationships with volunteers, staff, and community partners.
- Candidates should possess Community Outreach skills to design and implement initiatives that engage and grow the volunteer base.
- Experience coordinating volunteer programs in education, healthcare, or nonprofit settings is beneficial.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and schedules are required.
- Proficiency with basic office software and volunteer databases or CRM tools is an asset.
- A relevant associate or bachelor’s degree (e.g., education, social sciences, public administration, or related field) or equivalent experience is preferred.
