Data Science Technical Lead (Python + Ontology) at BairesDev In this role, you'll lead the design and delivery of a semantic data platform, from the domain ontology to the Python pipelines and machine learning components built on top of it. You'll guide technical decisions with pragmatic modeling judgment and set the engineering standard for the team. What You'll Do
• Lead the technical direction of data science and machine learning work.
• Design a bounded domain ontology from a reference dataset.
• Build production Python pipelines for semantic processing and entity resolution.
• Integrate ontology services into the pipeline.
• Develop evaluation harnesses and solver adapters.
• Mentor engineers and set engineering standards across the team. What We Are Looking For




• 6+ years of experience in data science and machine learning engineering, including technical leadership.
• Engineering-grade Python skills, producing production pipeline code for semantic pipelines, entity resolution, service integrations, evaluation harnesses, and solver adapters, beyond notebook analysis.
• Expertise in ontology and semantic data modeling with RDF 1.1, OWL 2, and SHACL.
• Background designing a bounded domain ontology from a reference dataset, including entity types, typed relationships, cardinality and shape rules, controlled vocabulary, and immutable versioned snapshots.
• Pragmatic modeling judgment, favoring OWL RL or EL where they suffice over unnecessary OWL DL expressiveness.
