Detailed Job Description:

As an RF Engineer supporting Firstpoint Group on a 100% remote basis for telecommunications infrastructure in Chile, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of RAN performance optimization, KPI tracking, and network troubleshooting. Your day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating Huawei network management tools such as U2020, analyzing traffic counters, executing root cause analysis for coverage and interference anomalies, supporting 5G NSA/SA performance metrics, and collaborating directly with multidisciplinary engineering squads and talent acquisition leaders like Arturo Ramirez Romero.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive radio frequency (RF)



optimization and performance tuning for Huawei LTE (4G) and 5G NR wireless networks.
- Analyze complex radio access network (RAN) KPIs, performance counters, and traffic statistics to identify optimization opportunities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve coverage gaps, capacity bottlenecks, inter-cell interference, and mobility/handover failures.
- Optimize key network metrics including accessibility, retainability, handover success rate, user throughput, and overall availability.
- Support advanced 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA) performance analysis alongside LTE/NR interworking.
- Conduct rigorous root cause analysis (RCA) and implement targeted network performance improvement action plans.
- Utilize Huawei network management and optimization platforms such as U2020 to monitor network health and configure parameters.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, optimization summaries, and performance audit logs for engineering leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4+ years of progressive professional hands‑on experience in radio frequency (RF) optimization and RAN performance engineering.
- Strong, demonstrable operational expertise in Huawei wireless network architectures and cellular infrastructure.




- Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in LTE (4G) and 5G New Radio (NR) technologies and protocols.
- Deep practical experience utilizing Huawei network management and optimization tools including U2020 or equivalent platforms.
- Solid practical grasp of network performance statistics, KPI analysis, and multi‑vendor interworking principles.
