Detailed Job Description

As a PS Core Engineer supporting Firstpoint Group on an on-site basis in Chile, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of packet core network deployment, signaling analysis, interoperability testing, and automation workflow development. Your day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and integrating Huawei Packet Core and IMS network elements (MME, AMF, SMF, UPF, IMS core components), executing rigorous troubleshooting for signaling and session continuity anomalies, designing network automation scripts to streamline operational tasks, collaborating with cross-functional engineering squads, and interacting directly with senior recruitment leaders like Arturo Ramirez Romero.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect, deploy,



integrate, and manage Huawei Packet Switching (PS) Core network infrastructure and cloud-native core components.
- Provide deep technical expertise in IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture, session border controllers, and related network elements.
- Execute end-to-end PS Core network integration, routine upgrades, patch deployments, performance analysis, and capacity tuning.
- Analyze complex packet core network procedures, signaling flows (Diameter, GTP, HTTP/2, SIP), and service continuity mechanisms.
- Design, develop, and implement network automation scripts and operational process optimization tools using Python or shell scripting.
- Conduct rigorous fault isolation, alarm triage, and root cause analysis for core network outages and signaling bottlenecks.
- Collaborate seamlessly with radio access network (RAN) teams, IP transport engineers, and client technical executives.
- Maintain meticulous technical documentation, network topology diagrams, configuration backup repositories, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional hands-on experience in telecom packet core engineering and mobile core networks.
- Strong,

- Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in IMS architecture, VoLTE signaling, and core network components.
